Herbert Grönemeyer

When I photographed the German musician and actor Herbert Grönemeyer, for the first time in my life I had to sign a contract that every photo I did of him had to be approved prior to publication. Any way I shot him the way I saw him. On seeing the pics, he congratulated me: "Great, you didn't make me look like the nice boy from next door." Which was exactly his image at that time in Germany.
